Rakeback
Rakeback credits part of the rake your games generate back to your stash, at a rate that rises with lifetime volume and can be boosted.
on this page
Rakeback is a rebate. Part of the rake that your games generate is credited back to you, and the more you have played, the larger the part. There is nothing to opt into and nothing to unlock.
The ladder
Your base rate depends on your lifetime volume wagered: the sum of the buy-ins of the games you have played, win or lose. The highest row you have reached applies, and the new rate covers every game from then on.
| Lifetime volume wagered (USDG) | Rakeback |
|---|---|
| 0 | 10% |
| 40 | 12% |
| 150 | 14% |
| 500 | 16% |
| 1,500 | 18% |
| 4,000 | 20% |
| 10,000 | 22% |
| 25,000 | 24% |
| 60,000 | 27% |
| 150,000 | 30% |
How one game's rakeback is worked out
- The game's rake is split equally among the players who were dealt in. That is the rake each player generated.
- Your rakeback for the game is your total rate times your share, rounded down to a millionth of a USDG.
- It builds up in your stash as rakeback, ready to claim.
You are credited whether you won or lost, because rakeback follows the rake the game generated. Net rake is the gross rake minus the rakeback credited. The net rake is what gets swept to the rake router (see Rake).
Boosts
Your total rate is the ladder rate plus these boosts, in percentage points.
| Best hood you own | Boost |
|---|---|
| none | +0 |
| common | +1 |
| rare | +2 |
| epic | +3 |
| legendary | +5 |
Perks use your best hood, not all of them added together. The exception is a small bonus for a collection: each hood beyond your best adds +0.25, up to +1 in total.
| Staked $RHR weight, as a share of total supply | Boost |
|---|---|
| 0.01% or more | +1 |
| 0.05% or more | +2 |
| 0.2% or more | +3 |
Weight is your staking weight, explained in Staking: your tokens times the lock multiplier, and any hood boost.
The total is capped at 40%. With today's settings the highest total anyone can reach is 39%: 30 from the ladder, 5 from a legendary hood, 1 from extra hoods and 3 from staking. The cap is a backstop.
A worked example
The game is Comrade (25.00 USDG buy-in, 4% rake), Classic, with four players.
- The rake is 4% of 25.00, which is 1.00 USDG.
- Each of the four players generated 1.00 / 4 = 0.25 USDG of rake.
A new player has under 40 USDG of volume, no hood and nothing staked, so the rate is 10%. Rakeback for this game is 10% of 0.25 = 0.025 USDG.
If all four players were at 10%, 0.10 USDG would go back to the players and the net rake would be 0.90 USDG. The router would send 0.108 to stakers, 0.09 to the jackpot and 0.702 to the house.
A boosted player has 1,600 USDG of lifetime volume (18%), a rare hood (+2) plus two more hoods (+0.5), and staked weight worth 0.06% of the supply (+2). The total is 18 + 2.5 + 2 = 22.5%. Rakeback for the same game is 22.5% of 0.25 = 0.05625 USDG.
Claiming
Rakeback builds up as you play. Once it reaches the 0.05 USDG minimum you can claim it into your stash. A claim is a move on the server's ledger, not an on-chain transaction, so it costs no gas. From the stash it is cashed out like any other money: Your stash and cashing out.
What rakeback is not
Rakeback gives back a slice of the cost of playing. It does not make a losing game a winning one. Even at the top rate every player still pays part of the rake on average. Rake has the numbers.
