Private rooms

A private room is a table for your own group, with a custom buy-in, a PIN-protected link and the same fair spin as the public tables.

on this page

A private room is a table you set up for a specific group instead of sitting at the public tiers. It is still a real-money game, with the same rules, the same spin and the same risks.

What you can set

  • Seats. From 2 to 6.
  • Mode. Classic or Last Hood Standing.
  • Buy-in. Any amount from 0.10 to 1,000 USDG, not just the six public tiers.
  • Access. A share link that can be protected by a PIN of 6 to 12 letters or digits. With a PIN set, only people who have both the link and the PIN can join, and repeated wrong guesses make the room wait before it answers again.

A room that stays empty for 20 minutes closes itself.

What stays the same

  • The fair spin. Every game in a room is committed before the first click and revealed afterwards, exactly as on a public table. See The provably fair spin.
  • The rake formula. The same rule applies, a percentage of what is won with the leftovers added to the rake. Check the rate shown for the room before you sit. Rake has the arithmetic.
  • The turn rules. Click at least once, 12 seconds a turn, up to 3 clicks, and dares cost real extra risk and pay nothing. If you time out, the server clicks once for you and passes. See At the table.
  • Your money. Your buy-in is reserved from your stash when you sit, and results settle into your stash. See Your stash and cashing out.
  • No bots. There are no house bots at any real-money table, rooms included.

Sharing a room

Share the link and the PIN only with people you know. Anyone who has both can sit down, and each of them puts up real money. If someone tries the wrong PIN, the room refuses them.

What not to assume

  • Rewards. Do not assume that games in a private room count toward leaderboards, jackpot tickets or achievements unless the app tells you they do.
  • Trust. The fair spin protects the randomness. It does not protect you from a friend who shares your PIN with someone you did not invite.

Where next

Rooms use the same lifecycle as any other game: How a game works.
