Short answers, each with a link to the page that has the whole story.
Getting started
Do I need a wallet?
Yes. You connect an EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby. There are no accounts, passwords or emails. See Connecting a wallet.
Can I try RHR without real money?
Yes. The demo table uses play money against bots, with no wallet and no chain involved. At real-money tables there are no bots at all.
Do I need $RHR to play?
No. The four public tiers run on USDG. $RHR and hood NFTs unlock perks and the two VIP tiers. See The $RHR token.
What do I need to load up?
USDG on Robinhood Chain and a little ETH for gas. The minimum deposit is 1 USDG. See Loading up.
Fairness and safety
Is the spin fair?
Every game is committed before the first click and revealed after the bang, with a random seed from each player's browser mixed in, and you can re-derive it yourself. See The provably fair spin.
Can the server cheat?
It cannot change a game after it has committed. It can abort a game, which refunds everyone. Collusion between the server and a player is a trust assumption, and per-game commitments are not anchored on-chain. There are no house bots at real-money tables. The full honest list is at the end of The provably fair spin.
Is my money safe?
It sits in an on-chain vault with strict rules. But the contracts are unaudited, the server's signing key is a trusted role within limits, and the USDG issuer can freeze addresses. Deposit only what you can afford to lose. See Custody and your money.
Has RHR been audited?
No. The contracts are tested with unit, fuzz and invariant tests, but they are unaudited, and tests are not an audit. See Contracts.
What if the website or the server disappears?
You can use the escape hatch on the vault contract. Request a forced withdrawal, wait 24 hours, then collect it within the next 3 days. It pays the lowest balance you had since the request, never more than you hold, and a request left longer than that expires, so you would request again. See Custody and your money.
What if USDG gets frozen?
Its issuer can freeze addresses or pause the token, and no RHR contract can undo that. It sits outside the contracts. See Custody and your money.
Playing
What does it cost to play?
The rake, which is a percentage of what is won: 5% at Kopek and Ruble, falling to 3% at Tsar. If every player clicks once, the average cost per game is your share of the rake. Rakeback returns part of it. See Rake and Rakeback.
What is a dare, and is it worth it?
A dare is an optional extra click after a click. It costs real extra risk and pays nothing, only XP, jackpot tickets and badges. For money it is never worth it. See At the table.
What happens if I time out?
The server clicks once for you and passes. Two timeouts in a row drop your seat after the game. The auto-click is a real click, so it can be the bang. See At the table.
What if I disconnect?
Your seat plays on autopilot: one click and a pass for each turn, until you are back.
Why can't I sit down?
The usual reasons are:
- Your available balance is below the buy-in.
- The tier is for holders only (Oligarch and Tsar) and you do not hold a hood or enough staked $RHR.
- The table is full or the seat is taken.
- You set a self-exclusion or a cool-off, or you reached a loss limit.
- Your region is blocked.
- You entered the wrong PIN for a private room.
- You are sending requests too fast.
Do I stay at the table after a game?
Yes. Your buy-in is reserved again at the next countdown, so each new game costs another buy-in unless you stand up. See How a game works.
What is the difference between Classic and Last Hood Standing?
Classic is one round and one loser. Last Hood Standing repeats rounds until one hood is left, and that hood takes the pot. See Classic and Last Hood Standing.
What if a game is cancelled?
Your buy-in is released and no rake is taken. See How a game works.
Cashing out
How do I cash out?
You request a withdrawal, the server signs a voucher, and you submit it on-chain and pay the gas. See Your stash and cashing out.
Why is my large withdrawal waiting?
Above the instant limits a withdrawal waits in a queue for a delay set in the contract, and the guardian can cancel it during the wait. See Your stash and cashing out.
How do I claim a jackpot prize?
The server signs a voucher naming you, the day and the amount. You submit it to the jackpot contract within 24 hours. See The jackpot.
Rewards
How does rakeback work?
Part of the rake your games generate is credited back to you, at a rate from 10% to 30% of the rake that rises with lifetime volume, plus boosts. You claim it into your stash once it reaches 0.05 USDG. See Rakeback.
What does staking pay?
A share of the USDG that actually arrived for stakers, and nothing is promised. There is no fixed rate, there is no early exit, and the contracts are unaudited. See Staking.
Do private-room games count toward rewards?
Do not assume they do. See Private rooms.
Rules and help
Can I play from my country?
RHR is not available in restricted jurisdictions, and you must be 18 or older. Whether you may play is decided by the law where you live, and that is your responsibility to check. See Responsible play and safety.
Is it a real gun?
No. It is a cartoon. Hoods always stay on, there is no blood, and cash bursts out of a shot hood. Real firearms are not a game. See Responsible play and safety.
I think I am playing too much. What do I do?
Stop, and use the cool-off or self-exclusion tools. Talk to someone you trust. In the US you can call or text 988, and findahelpline.com lists free helplines in other countries. See Responsible play and safety.
