Hood NFTs and perks

Russian Hoods are on-chain generative hood NFTs whose best tier boosts rakeback, staking weight and jackpot tickets, with no promise of resale value.

on this page

Russian Hoods are a collection of ERC-721 NFTs, each one a different hood drawn entirely on-chain as an SVG. Owning one lets you wear your actual hood on your seat and gives you perks. It is a collectible with perks, not an investment.

The collection

These are the launch defaults. The contract's settings and the mint page show the real numbers.

  • Supply: 3,333 hoods.
  • Price: 25 USDG each, paid from your wallet.
  • Limit: 10 per wallet.
  • Phases: an allowlist phase first, then a public phase.
  • Royalty: 5% on resales, set with the ERC-2981 standard. It is a signal that marketplaces may honour or ignore. The contract cannot force anyone to pay it.
  • Art: generated and stored on-chain. The renderer contract can be replaced until the owner freezes it.

Mint proceeds are paid in USDG and go to the fee splitter, which divides them as described in The $RHR token.

Traits and tiers

Every hood has a hood type, a colourway, eyes, an accessory, a badge and a felt background. The hood type sets the tier that decides your perks.

Hood typePerk tierOdds per hood

So a hood is common 70% of the time, rare 17%, epic 9% and legendary 4%. Those are the odds for each individual hood, not a promise about how many of each tier exist.

  • Your best hood counts. Perks use the best hood you own, not all of them added together. The one exception is a small rakeback bonus for a collection: +0.25 for each extra hood, up to +1. See Rakeback.
  • Jackpot tickets. The multiplier applies to your daily tickets. See The jackpot.
  • Staking weight. A hood escrowed in a staking position adds that much weight for the lock. See Staking.
  • On your seat. Equip any hood you own as your seat skin on the hoods page, and it shows on your seat at the table and in the lobby.

Holder access

Owning at least one hood makes you a holder, and so does staking $RHR worth at least 0.05% of the supply. Holders can sit at the two VIP tiers, Oligarch and Tsar, and join free-roll tournaments. The server checks this when you take a seat. See How a game works.

How the server knows

The server reads hood ownership from the chain and keeps a cached copy, so after you buy or sell a hood your perks can take a short while to update. A hood escrowed in staking sits in the staking contract rather than your wallet, and it still counts as yours for every perk: the server adds the hood in each of your staking positions to the hoods in your wallet.

No promise about value

A hood's price is set by buyers and sellers, not by RHR. It can go to zero. The perks are not income, they are small boosts to things that already cost you money to use. Do not buy a hood to recover a loss, and do not spend money you need.
