How a game works

From taking a seat to the payout and the reveal, step by step, with the timings, the six tiers and what happens when a game is cancelled or aborted.

on this page

A game runs from the moment players are seated until the payout. This page walks the whole path in order. Classic and Last Hood Standing explains how the two modes end, and At the table covers your turn.

1. Choose a table

A table has six seats, one tier and one mode. The tier sets the buy-in and the rake rate. Quick join puts you at a table for the tier and mode you pick.

TierBuy-in (USDG)Rake rateWho can sitThe vibe
Kopek0.255%Anyonepocket lint money
Ruble1.005%Anyonecorner store energy

Oligarch100.003.5%Holders only (VIP)yacht fund
Tsar500.003%Holders only (VIP)bring your own throne

A holder is someone who owns at least one hood NFT, or who has staked $RHR worth at least 0.05% of the supply. The server checks this when you take a seat. See Hood NFTs and perks.

2. Take a seat

Sitting down reserves your buy-in from your stash. If you leave before the game starts, the buy-in is released. Once the seed window closes the seat list is locked, so from then on you are in the game.

If fewer than two players remain when the game is due to start, the game is cancelled, every buy-in is released and no rake is taken.

3. The countdown

When the second player sits down, a 20 seconds countdown starts. Whenever another player sits and less than 12 seconds are left, the clock goes back up to 12 seconds, so a late arrival never gets a game that starts in a blink. A new player never shortens the countdown. It ends early when all six seats are full. The server publishes the game's commit as the countdown starts.

4. Commit and seed window

In the last 5 seconds of the countdown, your browser sends its client seed. When the window closes, the seats lock and the server mixes the seeds. Nothing about the cylinder can change from here. The provably fair spin has the recipe.

5. The rounds

  • The gun starts at a random alive seat and passes clockwise to the next alive seat.
  • The cylinder has one live chamber for each player still alive. Any spare slots are plugged with gum, which is cartoon only. One bullet sits in a random live chamber, fixed before the first click.
  • On your turn you click at least once. Extra clicks are dares. You have 12 seconds.
  • A bang ends the round. In Classic that ends the game. In Last Hood Standing the shot hood is out and a fresh round starts.

The hazard is the chance that the next click is the bang, given that the earlier clicks were empty. With six live chambers it climbs like this:

Click numberHazard before the clickAs a percentage
11 in 616.67%
21 in 520%
31 in 425%
41 in 333.33%
51 in 250%
61 in 1100%

The last chamber is certain. If the bullet has not come up by then, it is next.

6. Payout and reveal

Results land in your stash straight away, and the rake is taken as described in Rake. After the game the server reveals its seed and every client seed to the players who were dealt in. Your browser checks them against the commit it saw earlier. Your last 500 games stay verifiable. Then the next countdown starts.

Staying for another game

After a game you keep your seat. At the start of the next countdown your buy-in is reserved again, so the next game costs another buy-in unless you stand up first. Standing up between games releases your funds straight away.

You are stood up automatically, with a message that says why, if your available balance is below the buy-in, if you have started a forced withdrawal, if you are in a cool-off or self-excluded, or if you have reached a loss limit.

When a game does not finish

  • Cancelled at the start. Fewer than two players remained. Everyone is released and nobody pays rake.
  • Aborted. If the server has a fault, for example it crashes and restarts, it aborts the game in progress. Everyone is refunded, no rake is taken and nobody loses any money. The table shows that the game was cancelled and the stakes refunded.
  • You disconnect. Your seat plays on autopilot: one click, then a pass.
  • You go AFK. If your clock runs out, the server clicks once for you and passes. Two timeouts in a row drop your seat after the game, never during it. See At the table.

Who is at the table

Every seat is a person. There are no house bots at real-money tables. Bots exist only in the free demo.
